Human characteristics, behaviour and performances, and human interactions with technology are vital elements of human-system interaction and are responsible for optimizing its outcome. The activity demands of the job and context in which the job is performed must fit with the employee’s abilities and physical/psychosocial makeup. Any mismatch between the activity demands of the job and context, individual client factors, and performance patterns will interfere with successful execution of appropriate performance skills required to do the job.GOAL OF ERGONOMICS is to find ways to make strenuous, often repetitive work, less likely to prevent muscles and joint injuries – and still get the job done.
